Project

The Thai Binh 1 Thermal Power Plant project was kicked off on February 22, 2014 with a total investment of over VND26.5 trillion, of which Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is 85%, the remaining 15% of the reciprocal capital of the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN). The plant consists of two units with a total capacity of 600 MW (2 x 300 MW).

Thai Binh 1 Thermal Power Plant Project is invested by EVN and EVNGENCO 3 is the project management consultant unit with the representative responsible for project management as Project Management Unit Thai Binh thermo power plant.

After commercial operation, Thai Binh 1 Thermal Power Plant will supply the national electricity system with an annual electricity output of 3,276 billion kWh.

The operation of the plant is of great significance in ensuring electricity supply for socio-economic development, contributing to speeding up the industrialization process of Thai Binh province and neighboring provinces of the Northern Delta. As well as adding power to the national power system.
